About Robert Butt
For 25 years, Robert Butt has utilized his talents in marketing, advertising and public relations to change the faces of the companies and clients for which he has worked and to attain the positive bottom-line results for which his company is known.
Butt began his career as an Advertising Director for Belk Department Stores, one of the nation’s largest privately held department store chains. In 1995, he formed Marketing Performance which serves a diverse local, national, and international clientele from manufacturing companies to nonprofits.
Butt avails his clients of his expertise in the design and implementation of comprehensive marketing programs, the translation of statistical and marketing data into evaluative plans, and the production of award winning creative materials from television and print to interactive.
A recipient of the American Advertising Federation’s G.D. Crain Award for Public Service and one of only two University of South Carolina’s Aid to Advertising Education Award recipients, Butt also serves on the faculty as an adjunct professor in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications at USC- Columbia and is a contributing author to Creative Advertising Strategy, a college level textbook now in its 9th printing in 14 languages.
Butt received his degree from the Journalism School at USC in 1983.
